Tomorrowland is expanding to America!
The infamous festival Tomorrowland which has housed itself in Belgium since 2005 has now confirmed the earlier reports that it will be expanding it's festival to America. It was announced March 20th in Miami, FL on the eve of Ultra Music Festival Weekend 2 that America will be hosting the first ever TomorrowWorld 2013 in Chattahoochee Hills, GA. LOCAL PRODUCER MAKING HIS
MUSICAL FOOTPRINT
It's not rare to find music producers in today's world. Everyone with a power outlet and a computer is a producer. The trick is finding that person who exemplifies the passion and love for sound. We are fortunate to have someone in our very own backyard who's creating some of the most electrifying beats: mixing live instrumental with mesmerizing electronic sounds and moving vocals. Half of the current Pop Duo "November Rush", Rian Ball, has just released an eclectic group of new sounds. This new collection ties in the worlds of hip hop, pop, indie rock, and electro which can be appreciated now more than ever due to the direction that Worldwide producer/DJ Avicii is heading with his new album that he sampled at Ultra 15 back in March. Rian's next project is the releasing of multiple dance/electronic sounds that he is currently in the studio working on. His professionalism and appreciation for the craft is unparalleled which allows him to stand out among the rest. We are only a few days away from Sunset Music Festival 2013! The who's who of Electronic Music will be taking the three stages on Saturday at Raymond James Stadium. Everyone from David Guetta, Knife Party, Ferry Corsten, Morgan Page, Krewella, Markus Schulz, Steve Aoki, Crizzly, Dillon Francis, and many many many more are ready to blow your minds.
We are so excited to be joining all of you EDMTampaHeads out there for what's set to be the biggest party in Tampa. If you have any questions regarding the festival make sure you check out SMFTampa.com
A few rules from us:
~ Drink lots of water: It's going to be in the 90's out there on Saturday.
~ Pace yourself: You have a full day of the most amazing music so make sure you last to the end.
~ Check everything out: Go to all three stages and listen to what they all have to offer.
~ Plan your sets: Look at the set times so you know when and where everyone's performing. You can't miss getting caked by Aoki!
~ Bring Cash: There will be ATM's on site, but usually there are lines that go on forever.
~ Check the "prohibited items" on the website: We don't want you to have to get turned away at the gates.
~ Have FUN!!!!!: Remember we are all going there to enjoy the experience of Sunset. If this is your first EDM Festival listen carefully- there's no fights or altercations allowed. We are one family listening to one music and are not there to stir anything up.
Lastly- Just added is the Official SMF After Party being held at The AMP YBOR which will feature Krewella and resident DJ's Doco & Basomatik! So, make sure you have your schedules ready to make it out to the craziest after party on the planet!
Just when you thought Sunset Music Festival couldn't get any better... It does! Just added to Sunset Music Festival 2013- A stage devoted strictly to Trance. They announced the additions to the festival just about an hour ago. Added to the already impressive lineup are two massive names: Markus Schulz and Ferry Corsten. Both of these DJ's have solidified their names in the history of EDM and will without a doubt deliver incredible sets devoted to the genre we all love... Trance. Also added to this stage are: Shogun, Ashley Wallbridge, and Khomha.
If you're not aware of the other three names, well become familiar quickly!
Shogun was ranked #68 in the 2012 DJ MAG Top DJ's Poll. He recently played along side of the infamous Armin Van Buuren at ASOT 600 in Den Bosch and has been touring since January on his first leg of a worldwide tour. For more information on Shogun visit his site: Shogun Music
Ashley Wallbridge is no stranger to the DJ MAG Top DJ's Poll having been ranked as #132 in the 2012 issue. He has been considered one the top up and coming DJs / Producers in EDM. Having released his album "The Inner Me" which has gained tremendous popularity with fans and the top producers in the industry, it is no surprise that Ashley has already teamed up with Gareth Emery for their latest track "DUI". Khomha is another name who will not come close to disappointing at SMF 2013! Part of Markus Schulz's: Schulz Music Group, he has begun a career that is in place to last a lifetime. Receiving accolades across the industry, Khomha is one of the single best producers on the market right now. And don't just take our word, he was named by Markus Schulz and Matt Darey as their personal "Producer of the Year" during their DJ MAG Interviews in 2011. Tampa begins paving its' own "ROAD",
but this oneleads to Sunset!
Last year Disco Donnie and Sunset Events brought us the first major local music festival for EDM: "Sunset Music Festival". If you were able to go, you saw an incredible line-up that was able to rival most major festival's line-ups. It included Nervo, Nicky Romero, Gabriel & Dresden, headliner Pretty Lights, & many more!
For a year the talk around Tampa was aimed at one main issue: could they not only put the festival on again, but would they be able to pull acts to outshine the previous year? Well, when the line-up was released our questions were answered. With the likes of David Guetta, Krewella, Knife Party, & Steve Aoki just to name a few this year's Sunset is going to shine brighter than ever.
It seems to the outsider that Tampa can finally say it has built something that will last for our EDM Community.
This year has now been spiced up just a little bit more. It seems as though we now have what can only be described as an unofficial "Road to Sunset" developed to get us prepped for this monumental event. Sunset Events & The Amphitheatre have managed to put together a group of artists that will be coming into town on an almost weekly basis leading up to SMF 2013. These acts include: Delta Heavy, Tritonal, Armin Van Buuren, & Borgore. Not to mention Michael Woods and Sidney Samson who will performing at Hogan's Beach.
Friends we have something to be proud of and something that we can all be a part of to help build and nurture for future years. We all have gone to EDC, Ultra, Electric Zoo, Coachella, Burning Man, etc. etc. etc. and we know the power that these events have on our lives. It's time to bring that power to our home. This is our Road to our Sunset! Can't wait for May 25th!

FEED ME releases statement regarding Twitter comments about possibly leaving DJ'ing
Recent Twitter activity coming from FEED ME's account over the last few days has led many people to believe that he may be hanging up the Mixer and Tables and calling it "Quits". Just moments ago he took to Facebook releasing the message posted on the left.
He is still currently performing live and will be (according to FeedMe.UK.com) until Setpember 8th.
Tiesto teams up with Guess for a brand new Clothing Line
World Famous DJ Tiesto has teamed up with Guess Clothing to develop a brand new line called "Nyt Lyf" : Fashion That's Meant to be Heard. It's available for sale at select stores and online. The DJ MAG Top 100 DJs List has become one of EDM's most anticipated yealry occurences. It truly allows the end user the chance to cast their vote for who they feel is the biggest act in Electronica in the world! Armin van Buuren has taken 3 out of the last 4 titles (2012, 2010, 2009) but was edged out by David Guetta in 2011. Will Armin be able to pull a 4th win in recent years or will someone else come from nowhere. The only way you can argue with the final decision is if you vote...

MOBY set to release brand new album "Innocents"
A worldwide legend in Electronica has made his return! MOBY is releasing a brand new album called "Innocents". He released the information this week about the upcoming project that is set to be released in October. He took to his website and wrote a "Journal Entry" explaining the album, his influences, and the fact that he will hold a three show tour. Now, before you get too excited, all three shows (what is currently booked) will be taking place in Los Angeles ONLY! He wants to stay close to home for the first shows before he exapnds outward. Our feeling is that you will be seeing MOBY at the likes of Coachella, Ultra, or EDC next year. CLUB CIRQUE FESTIVAL DEBUTS IN TAMPA
A brand new festival makes it's way to Tampa. Disco Donnie and Sunset Events (creators of Sunset Music Fest) are teaming up again to bring to you "CLUB CIRQUE". As of now, very few details have been released regarding, well, the entire event. Tickets are on sale, but no one knows what to expect. All that's been said is that the event will feature: "acrobats, contortionists, sword swallowers and so much more, join us under the big top for the perfect fusion of performance art and music." ELECTRIC DAISY CARNIVAL ORLANDO 2013
EDC Orlando returns to Tinker Field for the 3rd Year. It will be taking place on Friday, November 8th and Saturday, November 9th. This festival has become a staple in Florida over the last few years. However, having seen the elborate production set-up that EDC Vegas had this past year, it seems as though all EDC's no matter what city need to step up their game. The stages need to be bigger and better and the production needs to wilder. It would be dissapointing to see another Identity Festival "tragedy" occur. And now with Sunset Music Festival here in Tampa taking shape and bringing in 20,000 plus "headliners", and TomorrowWorld debuting in Chatahoochee Hills EDC Orlando has a reason to get it together.
We know Insomniac will pack the festival with a decent line-up and will do the bare minimum to keep everyone "content", but content isn't going to be good enough for 2013.
WELL LADIES AND GENTLEMEN THE TIME HAS COME ONCE AGAIN, ULTRA MUSIC FESTIVAL 2014 IS ALMOST HERE. IT'S THAT TIME OF YEAR WHEN ALL ELECTRONIC MUSIC CONVERGES ON MIAMI, FL. WHETHER YOU ARE A FAN OF WINTER MUSIC CONFERENCE, ULTRA, OR BOTH, MIAMI (SORRY FOR THE CLICHE) "BRINGS THE HEAT". THE BIGGEST NAMES IN EDM WILL CALL MIAMI, FL THEIR HOME FOR OVER A WEEK. THEY WILL BE PERFORMING ALL OVER THE CITY INCLUDING SOUTH BEACH, DOWNTOWN, EVEN IN THE MIDDLE OF THE OCEAN ON YACTHS.
THIS YEAR IS ALREADY SHAPING UP TO BE ANOTHER MEMORABLE FESTIVAL TO ENTER THE HISTORY BOOKS. HOWEVER MANY ELECTRONIC FANS HAVE (RIGHTFULLY SO) BEEN SKEPTICAL OF WHAT 2014 HAS TO OFFER. LAST YEAR MARKED WHAT WILL BE REMEMBERED AS ONE OF THE MOST AMAZING AND EMOTIONAL EXPERIENCES ANY PLUR SEEKER COULD FIND. NOT ONLY DID ULTRA GIVE US TWO WEEKENDS (6 DAYS) OF EVERY TOP NAME IN THE EDM COMMUNITY, BUT WE WERE WITNESS TO THE LAST PERFORMANCE, UNTIL THEY DO A REUNION TOUR, OF SHM (SWEDISH HOUSE MAFIA). MANY EYES LEFT THAT NIGHT WATERED DOWN AND MANY HEARTS LEFT FULLER THAN WHEN THEY HAD ARRIVED. IT WAS A SET THAT CAN NOT BE PUT INTO WORDS. ULTRA HAS DEEMED 2014 AS "A NEW LEVEL.. A NEW EXPERIENCE" A SLOGAN AND BRANDING OPTION THAT HOPEFULLY HOLDS TRUE TO IT'S WORDING. WE'LL SEE YOU IN MARCH!!!
